Privacy Policy

In accordance with legislation, Wayfinder is registered with the Information Commissioner.

Wayfinder collects limited personal data required to operate the service. We never share your information or share it with third parties other than as described in this Privacy Policy.

Email address:
Your email address is also your username for logging into Wayfinder. This is stored securely on our servers. Wayfinder sends emails to you for administrative, operational and promotional purposes. These uses are explained further below. Your email is never published.

Password:
Your password is irreversibly encrypted in line with industry best practice. The encryption is stored securely on our servers. As the encryption is irreversible, we cannot provide your password to you. In cases of forgetting your password you will be required to choose another.

User picture:
A user picture can be optionally uploaded. If the account was created through Facebook, the user profile picture from Facebook will be used by Wayfinder. As stated in the Terms of Service, offensive profile pictures are not acceptable.

User name:
Each Wayfinder user has a unique username. Initially this is set to the user's firstname and lastname. Users are free to change this at any time to anything which is not currently in use subject to the Terms and Conditions. Usernames and profile pictures appear to other Wayfinder users in comments and other contributions.

Financial information:
Wayfinder does not access or store financial information. Users who create a Paid Account are taken to Stripe to process their payment. Financial information is held securely by Stripe and is not made available to Wayfinder.

Cookies:
Cookies are required by Wayfinder in order for the service to operate. Cookies expire automatically 10 days after visiting Wayfinder or when the user has logged out.

Emails:
Wayfinder sends three different types of email to users:

• Administrative - these allow the system to operate and are sent automatically. For example, instructions on how to reset your password. You cannot opt out of administrative emails.
• Operational - these inform users of important change. For example, changes to the Terms & Conditions. You cannot opt out of operational emails.
• Promotional - these inform users of new products, special offers and other information of interest. Users are initially opted into these emails when a new account is created. Users can unsubscribe by following the link at the bottom of any email.

Rights to Information:
Wayfinder recognises that the user supplying any information contributed in comments or elsewhere is the legal owner of that information. In all cases, the user contributing information grants to Wayfinder a non-exclusive license in perpetuity to retain and use the information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Questions and Requests:
Questions about the Privacy Policy or any other part of Wayfinder should be directed to the Support Team.
